We are now looking for a residential support worker for our team at the group home on Kista Alléväg. We offer training and a developing job where you make a difference! The position is part-time, approx. 80%.
About the operations
Kista Alléväg is a group home under the LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) aimed at adults with diagnoses within the autism spectrum or intellectual disability (target group 1). Our goal is to provide everyone with a meaningful daily life based on their unique needs and abilities, contributing to a satisfying life. Currently, an older target group resides here; there are 6 people living in the home. Several of our residents have an increased/large need for care and nursing, as well as an increased need for aids in their daily lives such as: (walkers, wheelchairs, ceiling and floor lifts). The facility is located in a multi-family house with its own inner courtyard, close to buses, the subway, commuter trains, and Kista Galleria with a wide range of shops.
About the role
As a residential support worker, you base your work on the residents' individual needs and wishes, providing support in daily life from a pedagogical approach. Together with other employees, you work towards the goal of making the day meaningful and content-rich. You support and guide with, among other things, personal care, meals, medication management, cleaning, social contacts, and communication. An important part of the job is to stimulate and motivate the resident to develop and maintain their abilities. Your duties also include documenting and planning based on implementation plans. Working hours may be scheduled during the day, evening, and weekends.
You also have a team leader who leads and distributes the work on-site near you. The operation also has a support educator who, together with the operations manager, team leader, and work group, drives the pedagogical work forward.
Your experience and knowledge
The applicant has at least a high school education in care and nursing or other equivalent education. You have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing, good computer skills, and experience with documentation. It is an advantage if you have experience working with the LSS target group or experience from elderly care.
You have a positive outlook, a strong commitment to people, and are responsible. You enjoy working in a team, supporting your colleagues, and always have the best interests of our residents as your starting point in everything you do.
At Nytida, we are in constant development. With us, you can grow as a person while making a difference for others. Our culture is permeated by our values – respect, responsibility, simplicity, and knowledge.
