Support Section at Base Battalion F 21

The Support Section is now looking for a serviceman/craftsman for a responsible, autonomous, and varied role. As a serviceman/craftsman with us in the Support Section/Training and Firing Range Department, you enable our combat units to train and carry out operations.

You will be part of a team of 7 people located at the Support Section at Base Battalion F 21. Here, the section chief, firing range officer, battalion motor officer, person responsible for volunteer activities, and the unit's training and firing range department work together.

Main Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities are to ensure the functionality and operation of F 21's external facilities, together with a craftsman and a firing range officer. You will also serve as an instructor support at the Base Battalion when needed.

The duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Carpentry and other craft work.
  • Maintenance of the illuminated track, both in summer and winter.
  • Ensuring the operation of shooting ranges and training areas.
  • Ensuring the operation of the Junkön firing range.
  • Ensuring the operation of F 21's external training facilities.
  • Staffing one of F 21's boats.
  • Administrative work in relevant systems, such as PRIO and Office.

In addition to the main duties, other tasks and areas of responsibility may be included, such as vehicle or warehouse manager.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Class B driver's license.
  • Experience in carpentry and/or other craft work.
  • Chainsaw driver's license.
  • Experience working with chainsaws/brush cutters.
  • Meet medical requirements for ship's captain class 8.

Personal Attributes

In this position, it is a great advantage if you are self-motivated, flexible, and able to identify what needs to be done when working independently. The tasks are very varied, making practical skills a prerequisite. Generally, the work is often physical, involving heavy lifting among other things.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Work permit or driver's license for tracked vehicles, heavy trucks, snowmobiles.
  • Handling of explosives equivalent to peace ammunition clearance.
  • Nautical knowledge – ship's captain class 8.
  • Experience working on military firing ranges.
  • Military work permit for passenger cars/light trucks and wheel loaders.
  • Military work permit for chainsaws/brush cutters.

Other Information

Employment type: Permanent. The Swedish Armed Forces apply a six-month probationary period for those not already employed by the agency.

Working hours: Full-time.

Place of duty: Luleå, with placement at F 21.

Start date: According to agreement.

Civil position.

The position may involve evening and weekend duty. Business travel occurs in the work.
