We are looking for you who want to help shape tomorrow's Ale. Here, you deliver top-quality service and support to the residents of Ale. Together, our 2,500 employees create an Ale that focuses on its citizens and their needs. Join us!
About the workplace
The Contact Center is the natural entry point to Ale Municipality – for residents, visitors, and businesses.
Our mission is to provide information, guidance, and resolve cases at first contact as quickly and professionally as possible.
Our primary channels are phone and email, but we also meet residents via web and in-person visits.
We are now looking for you who want to become a temporary employee in our dedicated team!
Here, you will find a workplace in constant development, where good customer service and high service levels are the norm.
The Contact Center is located at Ale Torg 7 in Nödinge, close to the commuter station.
About the position
You are a key person in the first meeting between Ale Municipality and the people who live, work, and visit here – with the goal of making their daily life a little easier, safer, and smoother.
As a Municipal Guide, you answer questions about the municipality's entire operations – primarily via phone, where you handle 50–80 calls per day. You also answer questions via in-person visits at the reception.
The role requires you to quickly familiarize yourself with various issues and operational areas. You use several different systems to find information, document, and handle cases efficiently. You are solution-oriented, independent, and have a natural ability to collaborate, both within the team and in cooperation with other parts of the organization.
The Contact Center in Ale consists of ten Municipal Guides. Together, we form a team that works both broadly and with specialization, possessing in-depth knowledge in areas such as urban planning, social services, and education.
Currently, we primarily need a temporary employee within the area of social services, but you will also receive calls and questions regarding the entire operation, including Alebyggen.
Are you the one we are looking for?
You have a natural customer focus and a genuine sense for service, while understanding the importance of the municipal mission.
You thrive in the role of first contact and see it as a given to provide good, professional treatment – whether via phone, email, or in our reception.
You need to have relevant education in areas such as service, communication, administration, or a similar area that we assess as equivalent.
You have previously worked in customer service or another role involving many customer contacts – with a strong focus on telephony. You have excellent telephone skills and express yourself clearly and pleasantly, both verbally and in writing. You adapt your communication to the channel and situation and know how to create security in every meeting. You have good administrative skills and a natural aptitude for a structured way of working. If you have reception experience and have worked with administration within municipal operations, it is a big plus.
As a person, you are a team player with positive energy. You have good digital competence and are accustomed to working in various systems and platforms. You are quick to find, interpret, and convey information in a way that makes it easy for others to understand. You master Swedish and English, both in speech and writing.
In the final selection, we place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Other
We need a temporary employee with an extent of approx. 50% from mid-August to December 2026, with the possibility of extension and potentially increased working hours. The extent will vary, but the need will be greater at the beginning of the week. Usually, you work full days and need to be available under those conditions.
Our opening hours are 08:00–16:30 on weekdays for visits and phone. Regular employees start at 07:30 and have different end times for the day, but no later than 16:45. Therefore, your working hours will also vary depending on the need. This may mean you are asked with short notice, but you will primarily be scheduled a few weeks at a time.
