Practical Gymnasium in Skellefteå offers students a concept where theory is interspersed with practical exercises both at school and at workplaces. At Practical, we hold ourselves to high standards to create the best conditions for a educational and fun education. Our teaching is characterized by flexibility, proximity, and practical learning. Our program offerings include: Construction and Infrastructure, Vehicles and Transport, Sales and Service, Hotel and Tourism, Electricity and Energy, Care and Nursing. Currently, the school has approximately 170 students and about 25 employees.

The school is located in Sörböle in completely new premises from autumn 2026. We are a small school where everyone knows everyone, and we help each other for the students' benefit. Our education is school-based, i.e., not an apprenticeship.

Your assignment
The position is a fixed-term part-time employment, approx. 20%, starting 12/8-26. You will teach and supervise our students in mathematics. You will teach elementary school mathematics, as well as Ma 1a together with one of our other math teachers. You may also have the opportunity to substitute in various other high school subjects that suit you and your knowledge.

We see you as an important and driving force to develop the subject, with the students in focus and in collaboration with colleagues.

Your profile
We are looking for you who are a certified high school teacher in mathematics or if you have very good mathematical skills and have pedagogical experience. We place great emphasis on personal qualities. We value your ability to meet students based on their knowledge and needs, and that you identify with our values and keywords. Our students long to go out into working life, and your biggest task is to lead them there!
