Umeå Waldorf School is looking for an engaged class teacher for grades Pre-K–6 who wants to help create a school where knowledge, creativity, and human development go hand in hand.

Here, you will encounter a living Waldorf pedagogy where students grow and learn through experiences, experiments, and storytelling. We believe in long-term relationships, context, and teaching that sparks curiosity and creativity.

About the Position

As a class teacher, you are responsible for a class and follow the students' academic, social, and personal development. You plan, implement, and develop teaching in close collaboration with colleagues, student health services, and guardians.

You will become an important part of the school's pedagogical community and contribute to developing our operations at a time when the school is growing and evolving.

We are looking for someone who

• is a certified teacher for grades Pre-K–6 (or alternatively grades 4–6)
• has experience with or an interest in Waldorf pedagogy
• has a genuine interest in the development and learning of all children
• values long-lasting relationships
• is creative, proactive, and responsible
• is interested in further education for teaching in both lower and middle school (if this competence is not already present)

About Umeå Waldorf School

Umeå Waldorf School is a non-profit independent Pre-K–9 school. We are Umeå's oldest independent school and Sweden's northernmost Waldorf school. We offer Waldorf pedagogy for approximately 230 students, with one class per grade level.
