Do you want to inspire the next generation through music? We are now looking for a creative and driven music teacher for a combined position at Flurkmark, Hissjö School, and Tavelsjö School!

Flurkmark School is located in a picturesque setting, 20 km northwest of Umeå. The school has just over 70 students from preschool class to grade six. There is close cooperation between the school and the after-school center. Values work and traditions are valuable components of the operations. Hissjö School is located in a picturesque setting, 14 km northwest of Umeå. The school has just over one hundred students from preschool class to grade six. There is close cooperation between the school and the after-school center. Values work and traditions are valuable components of the operations. Hissjö School strives to be a place characterized by joy, security, and well-being. A place where all children and students can develop as much as possible, both socially and academically, and feel confidence in their own abilities.

Tavelsjö School is located at the western part of Tavelsjön. The school is situated close to forests and meadows in a pleasant and friendly environment in the middle of the village. The school has 145 students from preschool class to grade 6 and approximately 85 children enrolled in after-school care. The operations are characterized by a democratic environment and good collaboration.

Employment Information

The position is a permanent part-time employment, 60%, starting 2026-08-11. Possibility of full-time employment exists if you are qualified and wish to work 40% in the intermediate school (grades 4-6) at Flurkmark School.

The work week is arranged as follows:

• One workday at Tavelsjö School
• One workday at Hissjö School
• Three workdays at Flurkmark School (one day if you only teach music)

Your Responsibilities

You will plan and conduct music education for our students in grades 1-6. In collaboration with the work team and colleagues, you are responsible for driving and developing the pedagogical work with the curriculum and municipal goals as a guide. Contact and cooperation with parents is an important part of the work.

About You

You are a clear leader in the classroom with the ability to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment, structure, and context for all students. You are well-versed in the school's governing documents. You differentiate and vary the teaching based on the students' needs. You share your knowledge and experiences to contribute to collegial learning. An important part of the teacher's role is to build good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. Personal suitability is highly valued.

Requirements

• Trained primary school teacher with qualifications in music
• Has applied for or holds teacher certification
• Experience working with music education in lower and intermediate school
• Fluent proficiency in Swedish (spoken and written) and good knowledge of English
• Valid extract from the criminal record register
• Class B driver's license and access to a private car
