In 2026, an activity requirement will be introduced within the social assistance system. This means that more people will need meaningful, individually tailored activities that strengthen the path towards work, studies, and self-sufficiency. The Employment Unit in Vänersborg plays a central role in implementing this in practice and is now seeking engaged and responsible employees who wish to contribute with structure, drive, and collaboration.

We are looking for two activity supervisors who want to contribute to professional, secure, and pedagogical support for our participants while simultaneously driving, developing, and creating structure in work-like operations.

We offer meaningful and developmental work where you get to make a difference for people who need support on their way to work, studies, or other interventions. You will become part of an operation where collaboration, professional treatment, and the participant's progression are at the center.

About the Workplace

The role of activity supervisor is an important part of meeting a changed target group and an increased need for individually tailored activities. This means that work-like and work-practical operations remain a central part of the assignment, while health-promoting activities and job search support become natural elements in the participants' planning. The focus still lies largely on developing operations where participants get to train work capacity, responsibility, routines, and collaboration in concrete contexts.

Job Responsibilities

In this assignment, you work closely with participants in their activities and daily developmental processes. You create safe, respectful, and motivating relationships and meet each participant based on individual prerequisites, needs, and daily condition.

You plan, create, and carry out activities within one of the directions: health, job forum, or work practice. This could, for example, involve holding lectures, participating in health-promoting activities, supporting participants with CVs, cover letters, job searching, and interview preparation, or supervising participants in practical work tasks.

We are now looking for two activity supervisors who can drive and develop the practical operations focusing on cafes and second-hand stores. Each activity supervisor has a main area of responsibility but must also be flexible in the assignment and able to support other activity supervisors' operations when the target group's needs, staffing, or planned activities require it. The work therefore involves both personal responsibility for structure and development within an area and the ability to contribute to the whole together with colleagues and other professions.

Documentation and follow-up are an important part of the work. You need to be able to document regarding the participants so that the operation can follow their progression, needs, and development over time. This means you document attendance, participation, completed activities, and relevant observations, and contribute with material for planning, collaboration, and follow-up. The documentation should be objective, clear, and professional.

The role focuses on participant support, motivation, pedagogical content, and activities that strengthen work capacity, health, and independence. At the same time, the assignment still largely consists of developing and supervising work-like operations, where the focus is always on the participant's progression, participation, and opportunity to approach work, studies, or other suitable interventions. This requires practical ability, clarity, and secure supervision in everyday work moments.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have at least a high school education in, for example, children and youth, education in social work, pedagogy, or other education that the employer considers equivalent. You have experience in supervising, supporting, or motivating people in need of structure, adaptation, and guidance.

You have a good ability to work pedagogically, build relationships, and work structured. You express yourself well in speech and writing and have basic digital competence as well as experience in documentation.

It is also meritorious with experience of working with people who are far from the labor market, experience of planning and carrying out activities that strengthen work capacity, health, and motivation, and experience of work-practical interventions, work training, or supervision in practical work moments.

Personal Qualities

To thrive in the role, you need to be secure, relationship-building, and have a genuine interest in supporting people in their development. You have the ability to motivate and create engagement among people with different prerequisites and can adapt your working method based on the individual and situation.

You are pedagogical, clear, and structured. You can create security, set boundaries, and contribute to calm and stability even in challenging situations. We also see that you are proactive, creative, and have good collaboration skills, while also being able to work independently with planning, implementation, and follow-up.
