Temporary Family Home Recruiter for the GGVV Family Home Team
We are now looking for a temporary family home recruiter for our joint recruitment team within the GGVV Family Home Team. We are four municipalities, Gislaved, Gnosjö, Värnamo, and Vaggeryd, working together to ensure that children and young people have access to safe and sustainable family homes. The recruitment team is located in Gislaved Municipality and works on behalf of all four municipalities.
The position is a temporary assignment covering a permanent employee's parental leave. The position is 100%, with 70% dedicated to family home recruitment and 30% to various tasks within family home recruitment, child follow-up, and investigations.
Responsibilities
The role of family home recruiter involves working with the recruitment of family homes together with another recruiter. You will be part of the investigation work for the approval of family homes by, among other things, making initial contacts, conducting interviews, and carrying out home visits, i.e., the initial screening of a potential family home. You need to be able to market the assignment, find new contact areas for recruitment, and respond quickly and maintain contact with interested families. Travel and home visits to inform and conduct interviews are also part of the work.
The work is scheduled during daytime hours, but some marketing takes place in the evenings and on weekends, and training may also be held in the evenings.
The work involves collaboration with child secretaries and investigation secretaries at the child and youth units. You will work particularly closely with our other recruiter and together with the family home handlers who, after the investigation, will take care of the family home you are involved in investigating. The work includes, together with your colleagues and management, responsibility for and participation in the development work of family home care. Organize training for family homes and family home secretaries, e.g., "a home to grow in".
Qualifications
A degree in Social Work or other relevant higher education. Experience of working within family care previously. It is meritorious if you have previously worked with investigating service providers, experience of municipal operations, good administrative skills, and can express yourself well in speech and writing.
To succeed in the role, you are flexible, service-oriented, and have the ability to create trusting relationships. Furthermore, you are structured, have good cooperation skills, and can see the big picture. To succeed in this role, you will need to work independently and prioritize your own work in consultation with your nearest manager. You shall be the "face outward" for our four municipalities, who with commitment and positivity want to market us as service providers.
You also need to have the ability and willingness to negotiate economic issues with prospective family homes.
We apply register control (extract from the criminal record) as a form of suitability test for all who are offered employment in operations where there is direct and regular contact with children and young people.
