Description

The Disability Care department is seeking a Support Pedagogue/Support Assistant for Bollvivegården, an LSS housing facility with a psychiatric focus located in Bor. Working hours: Night shift (awake).

Responsibilities

You provide support and service according to the user's individual needs and wishes as per implementation plans. Together with the user, you carry out daily, planned support measures and activities. These measures should promote integrity, participation, and respect for self-determination. The user's needs are at the center, and their views are actively taken into account.

The work is based on a pedagogical and motivational approach in close collaboration with the user's network and other staff. Responsibilities also include rehabilitation, IT-based documentation, administration, and delegated health and medical care tasks.

As a Support Pedagogue, you will additionally:

• Support and guide your own and other work teams in their work with users.
• Identify needs and opportunities for development in interaction with users and colleagues.
• Work according to solution-oriented pedagogy.
• Be responsible for developing and implementing methods in the work.
• Support colleagues and work teams in difficult conversations.
• Support colleagues regarding social documentation.
• Have a dialogue with the unit manager regarding the development of the unit's pedagogical work.

Qualifications

For the position of Support Assistant, a background in Care and Nursing, Child and Youth, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer is required.

For the position of Support Pedagogue, it is a prerequisite that you have a Support Pedagogue education or other post-secondary education focused on disability, pedagogy, and psychiatry.

The job requires you to work independently, make your own decisions, and collaborate with other actors and authorities. You must be able to express yourself well in speech and writing and have good computer skills, as social documentation is a large part of the job.

Experience working with people who need support in daily life or experience from psychiatric care is meritorious. You are sensitive, reflective, and have a low-affective approach. You have a pedagogical perspective, are clear in your communication, and adapt your working style to the individual and situation. Personal suitability is highly valued.

Conditions

• Fluency in Swedish (spoken and written).
• Class B driver's license.
• A certificate of good conduct (police record extract) must be presented before employment.
