Do you want to help create a safe and supportive school environment where students can develop and thrive? We are now looking for an engaged school counselor for Bäckseda and Myresjö School. Here, you will become an important part of the school's student health team and work to give students the best possible conditions to feel good and succeed in school.

As a school counselor, you work to prevent and handle psychosocial challenges that can affect students' learning and well-being. You collaborate with school staff, students, and guardians, acting as a vital link to other social services. Through your work, you contribute to creating a school where students feel safe, included, and motivated to develop.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Having conversations with students and guardians based on psychosocial needs
• Working preventively and actively participating in the schools' work on safety, well-being, and attendance
• Supporting school staff in creating a positive and inclusive school environment
• Collaborating with other societal actors such as social services, psychiatry, and other support measures
• Contributing to the schools' systematic values-based work and participating in the formulation of various action plans

We are looking for someone with experience working with children and young people, preferably in schools or other support activities. You are secure, empathetic, and skilled at building trusting relationships. You have good collaboration skills and a positive attitude towards working in a team. You see opportunities rather than obstacles and are solution-focused. As a counselor with us, you will become part of the school's student health team and have access to support and supervision in your professional role.

Qualifications

• Education as a social worker (socionom).
• Experience in the profession is meritorious.
• We place importance on personal qualities.

Working hours: Daytime.
