We are the small municipality with big opportunities. Our operations are characterized by short decision-making paths, where you as an employee can truly make a difference with your engagement.

About the Role

The Competence Supply and Staffing Unit is a central function within the Social Services Administration in Mellerud Municipality. We are a small, dedicated team of three employees led by a unit manager. The unit plays a vital and strategic role in ensuring that operations have the right competence in place every day.

We work closely with the operations and provide support throughout the entire chain regarding staffing and competence supply. Our tasks include recruitment, onboarding, and appointment of hourly substitutes, including the annual summer recruitment which is a central part of our work.

The unit is also responsible for administration, support, and development related to scheduling and personnel systems. We support managers and operations with staffing issues, scheduling, and planning, and contribute to creating efficient, legally secure, and sustainable staffing processes.

We are a developing unit where work is gradually becoming more digitalized and system-based. This means we actively work on improving our methods, finding new solutions, and contributing to long-term and sustainable competence supply within the Social Services Administration.

Here, you will work in an operation with high engagement, close collaboration, and great opportunities to influence and develop the work forward.

Responsibilities

As a Staffing Planner, you work to ensure effective staffing in the operations by recruiting, administering, and appointing hourly substitutes based on current needs.

In this role, you are responsible for the entire staffing process – from recruitment and onboarding to the daily handling of substitute appointments during short-term absences. You work continuously with administration in our staffing and personnel systems, where we currently use eCompanion and will transition to Medvind in the future.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Recruiting, administering, and onboarding substitutes
  • Appointing substitutes for short-term absences
  • Having daily contact with operational support, managers, and staff regarding staffing matters
  • Contributing to the development and efficiency of staffing processes

You actively work on long-term improvement efforts to ensure sustainable competence supply. As a Staffing Planner, you are an important representative for the operation and contribute to strengthening the employer brand. Therefore, we value your ability to build good relationships, work flexibly, and contribute positive energy in a changing environment.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Relevant post-secondary education in administration, personnel/HR, economics, or alternatively, long experience in the field
  • Good communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written
  • Good computer skills and experience working in various operational systems

It is meritorious if you have:

  • Experience in administrative work, preferably within staffing, recruitment, or personnel planning
  • Experience working in staffing or personnel systems, such as eCompanion, Medvind, or similar
  • Experience from working in the public sector

To succeed in the role, we see that you:

  • Are structured and have good ability to plan and prioritize
  • Have a service-oriented approach and thrive with many contact points
  • Are flexible and adapt easily to a changing operation
  • Contribute to a positive work climate and collaborate well with others
