Do you want to work in a values-driven organization with flexible working hours, short decision-making paths, close collaboration among colleagues, and the opportunity to influence how we work and develop? Are you an experienced accountant who enjoys working close to the operations and believes that finance should create meaning, involving as much about people, relationships, and wise decisions as it does about numbers? Then this might be the right assignment for you.

About the Role

We are looking for you who want to contribute to creating structure, security, and overview in a small private business where finance is seen as a tool for making sustainable decisions and creating good conditions for people to do good work.

WiseMind is a small psychology and education practice. We are now looking for an experienced accountant for a part-time position equivalent to approximately 20 percent, with the possibility of shaping the role together with us based on the business's needs and your competence.

Perhaps you are a tech-savvy accountant who has retired but still wants to be active for a few hours a week in something that feels fun, developmental, and meaningful. Or perhaps you are in a completely different phase of life and looking for a part-time assignment where you can use your experience in a way that makes a real difference.

We believe you will appreciate the variety and closeness found in a small company, where you get to use both your experience, judgment, and creativity. Our pleasant office is located in central Gothenburg, and it is an advantage if we can meet you as a colleague on-site, but personal suitability is more important than your location.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop simple and sustainable routines for invoicing, budgeting, forecasting, and follow-up.
  • Support management and employees in understanding and following the business's finances.
  • Contribute to financial planning and follow-up occurring according to a calendar year and at a level appropriate for a small organization.
  • Prepare and present financial materials that help the business make wise decisions.
  • Support the business in maintaining good principles and routines within the HR area.
  • Provide support in processes regarding salary setting and other personnel-related issues.
  • Identify opportunities for simplification, automation, and efficiency improvements in administrative processes.
  • Explore how AI and digital tools can be used to free up time from repetitive tasks, allowing people more space for relationships, quality, and business development.

The role does not involve creating extensive detailed control or administration for administration's sake. Rather, we are looking for someone who helps us find the right level – sufficient structure and follow-up for the business to function well, without creating unnecessary complexity.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for you who have several years of experience in accounting and a good understanding of the conditions in private business, preferably in small or medium-sized companies.

You thrive in both an executive and advisory role where you combine financial competence with a business-oriented perspective.

We would like you to:

  • Have relevant education and substantial experience in finance.
  • Enjoy budgeting, forecasting, and financial follow-up.
  • Have knowledge of or interest in HR issues and payroll processes.
  • Be curious about digitalization, automation, and AI.
  • Appreciate working in a small organization where tasks sometimes flow across traditional areas of responsibility.
  • Enjoy collaborating and building good relationships.
  • It is an advantage if you have experience working in consulting, healthcare, or other knowledge-intensive companies.

Working with us

Those of us who work at WiseMind believe that a job should be fun, secure, and developmental, offering opportunities for variety, learning, and social community. We want to create smart and socially beneficial services and ways of working that make a real difference.

By being part of a small company, you constantly develop new skills and find solutions together with your colleagues, regardless of how long you have been active.

The business strives to be self-managing and is inspired by principles from so-called Teal organizations. We work with shared responsibility, transparency, and shared leadership rather than traditional hierarchy. We encourage a culture characterized by warmth, engagement, trust, and initiative. For us, this means that everyone working here feels responsible for the whole and is quick to move from thought to action when it comes to improving and contributing – both in small and large ways.

The Employment

The position covers approximately 20 percent, with the possibility of flexible working hours based on agreement. It may be possible to work one full day or two half-days per week, alternatively a bit more in some periods and longer breaks or less work in other periods. We can discuss arrangements based on the business's needs and your wishes.

Start: Around September 2026.

How to Apply

The recruitment process may begin before the final application date, so please send your application as soon as possible to [email protected] (mailto:[email protected]).

We do not have the opportunity to answer questions via phone, but email is fine.

Subject line: Application for Accountant Position + Your Name.

  1. Why are you applying for the position and what attracts you to the assignment?
  2. What experience do you have with accounting in private business, and which parts of accounting work do you enjoy most?
  3. How do you view the role of an accountant in a small, values-driven, and self-managing organization?
  4. What experience do you have with HR issues, payroll processes, or similar tasks?
  5. How have you previously worked with digitalization, automation, or AI to simplify administrative processes? Please provide concrete examples.
  6. What does your current employment look like, and what are your wishes regarding working hours, on-site work, and the possibility of remote work?
  7. What is important for you to thrive in a workplace regarding working environment, collaboration, structure, and leadership?
  8. Is there anything else you would like us to know about you, or ideas and suggestions you have?

Also attach your CV.

We look forward to your application!
