Are you a proactive expert with strong technical and analytical skills, who thrives on influencing and driving change?!

We are now looking for a Financial Specialist to join Stena Line's Payables & Banking team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our Financial Specialists and other teams within Finance to drive projects and change initiatives that enhance efficiency and effectiveness. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations and optimal performance.

Some of your key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for several of our core processes within the team, both operationally in day-to-day business and on a strategic level (e.g., Invoice-to-pay, Supplier Setup, VAT).
  • Actively work on improving and transforming our processes (e.g., increasing automation and straight-through processing).
  • Drive projects and change within the team.
  • Train the team and other parts of the organisation.
  • Admin and support in our invoice flow system Medius.

What you will experience

As a Stena Line employee in Sweden, we offer you an additional benefits package consisting of travel discounts, health allowance, well-being activities, access to a benefits portal, and much more.

Based in our Gothenburg office, this role follows an office-first approach, allowing you to work closely with a collaborative team of other Financial Specialists and Financial Assistants.

Who are you?

At Stena Line, your personal qualities matter just as much as your skills and expertise. Regardless of the role, being welcoming, caring, and reliable guides you in your everyday work and the challenges you face.

We also believe you thrive in setting clear frameworks, formulating goals, and providing direction. You drive projects and continuous improvement, act as a supportive partner, and enjoy coaching and developing others. With a proactive approach and strong technical and analytical skills, you help move both people and processes forward.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in economics or equivalent education.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Accounts Payable within a finance department.
  • At least 3 years of experience with invoice flow system Medius; experience in our other Stena Line Finance system, JD Edwards, is an advantage.
  • Fluent in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.

Interested?

This is a full-time, permanent position based in Gothenburg within our Finance department. To apply, please register your profile and send in your application in English as soon as possible but no later than 28th of June, 2026. We are having an ongoing selection, so do not wait with your application. To ensure the secure and structured processing of your personal data, we only accept applications submitted through our online recruitment system.

We have collective bargaining agreements with Unionen, among others, who you can contact for more information.
