University West is seeking an Administrator for the Clinical Learning Center (KLC)

About the Position

As an administrator at the Department of Health Sciences, you will work at our Clinical Learning Center (KLC), a central learning environment for education within health and medical care. Here, students practice practical skills, communication, teamwork, and readiness for action through skills training, simulation, and scenario-based learning.

In this role, you will work closely with teachers, students, and external partners to create good conditions for teaching and learning. The work is varied and combines administration, coordination, service, and practical support within the operations.

About the Clinical Learning Center (KLC)

The KLC is an important part of the Department of Health Sciences' educational environment. Here, students are given the opportunity to develop professional competence through skills training, simulation, and reflection in realistic care situations. The activity is carried out in close collaboration with teachers, students, and external partners to ensure high quality in education and good preparation for future professional practice.

Responsibilities

The work includes, among other things:

  • Planning, coordinating, and preparing teaching and simulation activities.
  • Providing administrative and practical support to teaching staff.
  • Responsible for booking, logistics, and coordination of teaching spaces.
  • Inventorying, ordering, and following up on consumables and equipment.
  • Participating in the operation, maintenance, and quality assurance of simulation equipment and medical training aids.
  • Responsible for administration related to the KLC's operations.
  • Participating in self-training where students train independently, student activities, and other arrangements.
  • Collaborating with internal and external actors based on the needs of the operations.
  • Contributing to the development of routines, work processes, and learning environments within the KLC.

Requirements

  • Upper secondary education in care and nursing or other education assessed by the employer as equivalent.
  • Several years of experience working in health and medical care.
  • Experience with administrative tasks.
  • Good digital competence and familiarity with working in various IT systems.
  • Good ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks independently.

Merits

  • Experience working in educational activities, clinical training centers, or other learning environments.
  • Experience with simulation, skills training, or working with medical technology equipment.
  • Experience with coordination, logistics, or operational administration.
  • Experience working within universities, university colleges, or other educational organizations.
  • Experience with ordering, inventorying, and follow-up work.
  • Experience supporting pedagogical activities or educational initiatives.

Other Information

The position is a permanent employment with a scope of 50%. In the selection process, work tests, interviews, and reference checks may be applied. Probationary employment may be applicable.
