RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a support pedagogue for our short-term care unit, located within unit area 2. This recruitment concerns services for children in short-term care with scheduled working hours during days, evenings, and weekends.

As a support pedagogue, you provide support in developing and using individually adapted pedagogical methods that support the individual's participation and independence. You have a guiding and follow-up role for your colleagues regarding:

• social documentation and implementation plans
• methods and approaches
• laws, protective coercion, and restrictive measures, as well as the perspective of relatives

The position is divided such that part of the work involves day-to-day operations in the activity and part as a support pedagogue. The distribution of time depends on the needs of the activity and may change over time. This means you will also work close to the operations and meet young people with challenging behaviors who need present, secure, and clear adults around them. The work requires that you can handle complex and demanding situations while creating conditions for security, good relationships, and a stable structure in daily life.

As a support pedagogue, you are interested in a developing and diverse work where we help create and maintain conditions for security, self-determination, quality of life, development, and joy for the users. Your role is to work supportively and motivatingly together with the user so that they can manage their daily life as independently as possible. This is done with the help of, among other things, clarifying pedagogy, low-affective handling, and alternative communication. The work also includes personal care, social support, and other interventions designed according to each individual's needs and prerequisites.

The work also involves documenting, designing, and following the implementation plan and contributing to a functional and stimulating daily life for the users, as well as delegated tasks from the nurse, such as insulin and medication delegation.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who:

• Are educated as a support pedagogue (200 YH) or have another pedagogical post-secondary education comprising at least 60 hp/200 YH within the disability area
• Have experience working with young people within HVB (residential care), SiS (Swedish National Board of Institutional Care), school, social psychiatry, NPD diagnoses, or similar
• Have good knowledge of intellectual disabilities, autism, and autism-like conditions
• Have good communicative skills and can express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing
• Have knowledge of digital platforms and experience with documentation

You have a calm and professional attitude, handle challenging situations in a low-affective way, and can clearly convey boundaries and limits with care and respect.

Your communication is clear, and you see the importance of relationship-building work with a pedagogical approach. You are consistent and secure in decided structures and routines, have good cooperation skills, and are responsible. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

We would like you to have a B driver's license.
