The role of Support Assistant with us

As a Support Assistant with us, your focus will be on working with our young people's leisure time after school, study days, and all holidays to create the right conditions for the individual to achieve good quality of life and a functioning daily life. You work in a team, follow implementation plans, and continuously monitor the work.

The role is characterized by a sharing culture where we take responsibility, inspire, collaborate, and support each other. Based on scientific grounds and proven experience, you are expected to actively work on clarifying, communicating, and identifying the individual's developmental needs.

Your responsibilities

• Work with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) and clarifying pedagogy.
• Daily work with individuals.
• Social documentation and follow-up of implementation plans.
• Adapt your working method to the needs of the individual and the organization.
• Work to make the individual as independent as possible based on their abilities, thereby creating the right conditions for development.
• Work with ADL (Activities of Daily Living) activities in everyday life.
• Work with motivation and stimulation for the student's well-being and health.

Your profile

As a person, you work well with others, are accommodating, and responsive in your interactions. You create new contacts as well as maintain your current work relationships. You take responsibility, drive your work forward, deliver results, and prioritize your work efficiently. You adapt to changed circumstances and see opportunities in change. You take initiative and bring new approaches to work-related issues. We are looking for someone who is positive, secure, and stable. You express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, as this is required in daily work. We place great importance on personal suitability.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has relevant education as a Support Assistant or equivalent.
• Has relevant work experience with intellectual disability or autism.
• Has experience with low-affective handling and AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication).
• Has good knowledge of IBIC (Individual's Needs at the Center).
• Has experience with the Combine system.
• Has experience with individual work.
• Has knowledge of the LSS Act and the Social Services Act.

Our offer and other information

We offer a fixed-term position on part-time/full-time basis (80–100%) for one year, starting as agreed.
