Do you want to make a real difference for children and families in complex and vulnerable life situations? We are now looking for a Social Secretary for our strengthened investigation team at the Investigation Unit – a role for you who thrives in qualified social work where collaboration, creativity, and the best interests of the child are at the center. Here you have the opportunity to work closely with families with extensive needs while contributing to the development of working methods, approaches, and collaboration in a developing organization.

Your Responsibilities

You will be part of Group Four, which consists of a strengthened investigation team with four social secretaries, two network leaders, and four residential care (HVB) case managers. The team is led by a Senior Social Secretary and a Unit Manager.

In this role, you work with families where the situation is complex and concern for the children's well-being is high. You meet families affected by mental health issues, substance abuse, disabilities, or other social challenges. The work is varied and requires both care, structure, and a secure professional approach.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

  • working together with lead case managers in the other teams of the Investigation Unit
  • actively participating in investigations and driving cases forward together with colleagues and management
  • conducting observations and meetings in various settings to create a holistic picture of the family's situation
  • working with networks and collaboration with other actors around the child and family
  • providing support to colleagues in particularly complex cases
  • contributing to the development of routines, methods, and sustainable working practices within the team/unit

The work is characterized by close collaboration, high participation, and great commitment. Contacts with families can be both intense and varied, requiring the ability to adapt working methods and attitudes based on the situation and needs.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a degree in Social Work and experience in social work and investigation work with children and young people. You have a B driver's license, good computer skills, and very good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing.

To succeed in the role, you need to be able to work independently, take responsibility, and make well-founded decisions even in complex situations. You have a clear child's perspective and see the child's participation as a natural part of the work based on age and maturity.

We are looking for you who are confident in building relationships and collaborating with both families, colleagues, and external actors. You contribute to good collaboration and a positive work environment while remaining calm and professional in difficult situations.

The competencies that are particularly important in the role are:

  • Networking – you create and maintain professional relationships and actively collaborate with both internal and external actors to create the best possible support around the child and family.
  • Transparent communication – you communicate clearly, listen attentively, and build trust, even in complex and sensitive situations, so that all parties understand the purpose, responsibility, and next steps.
  • Problem-solving – you analyze situations from multiple perspectives and find solutions even when conditions change or are unclear.
  • Planning and structuring – you organize and prioritize work efficiently, follow up on interventions, and create structure to maintain high quality in the investigation work.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

We offer you

With us, you get meaningful and developing work where you make a difference for children and families every day. You become part of a work group with engaged and helpful colleagues who support each other in daily work.

We offer:

  • varied and qualified tasks
  • health allowance

  • Smoke-free workplace
