Above all, you have a genuine interest in working with people and see the value in supporting every person to develop, strengthen themselves, and live in their own way. As a support assistant, you will become part of an operation where care, quality, and professionalism go hand in hand, and where your commitment makes a real difference.
Do you want to become part of our team?
What you will do
As a support assistant, you work closely with the user in their daily life, which is characterized by both planned interventions and spontaneous situations where you need to meet the individual's needs in the moment. You are an important support in the practical, social, and pedagogical work, and together with colleagues, you create a secure and structured daily life for the user. We work for a safe environment through structure, preventive work, and a low-affective approach.
Our users need comprehensive support and care around the clock, which means that working hours are distributed across all hours of the day and all days of the week. For this position, the working hours are scheduled for day/evening/weekends.
You will, among other things:
- Support and motivate our residents in everyday activities to promote independence.
- Help with personal care, cleaning, laundry, shopping, and activities.
- Perform delegated health and medical tasks, such as medication management and operating a ventilator.
- Document according to current guidelines and work with implementation plans.
- Participate in the development of the operation, supervision, and training.
With us, you get a varied job where you make a difference – every day.
Your experience
I am looking for you who have:
- A high school education in care and nursing, preferably with a focus on disability.
- Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
- Experience with documentation and basic computer skills.
- Experience with aggressive physical behavior and feel safe in work where this occurs.
- Knowledge of challenging behaviors and TEACCH (Treatment and Education of Autistic and related Communication handicapped CHildren).
- Experience with low-affective approach, cognitive support, and health-promoting working methods.
It is an advantage if you have:
- Experience working within LSS (Act on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), dementia, co-morbidity, and psychiatry.
We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Who you are
To thrive and succeed in the role, I believe you have the following qualities:
- Collaboration skills: You enjoy working together with others, share your knowledge, and contribute to a good work climate – so that together we can provide the best possible support.
- Stability: You are secure in yourself and maintain your calm even in challenging situations. This creates security for both colleagues and residents.
- Service orientation: You have a genuine interest in helping others and adapt your approach to the individual's needs – always with respect and care.
- Structured: You plan and organize your work efficiently, follow up, and adjust as needed to ensure quality in interventions.
- Initiative: You see what needs to be done, take initiative, and act proactively – while also checking in when it affects others.
