Description

Laholm Municipality is seeking an engaged social worker for the Family Support Unit. The position primarily focuses on working with children placed outside the home under the Social Services Act or the Law on Care of Young Persons (LVU). The work is carried out in close collaboration with social workers focused on intake and investigation, as well as foster care social workers. The goal is to create a cohesive care chain for the children we meet, where they experience continuity and security in their interaction with the social services. The team also includes a Senior Social Worker, School Coordinator, and Administrator.

We have close cooperation with partners and want to build a care chain where the child's needs are in focus. We are looking for you who want to work in a smaller context, with competent and knowledgeable colleagues who, together with you, take responsibility for and develop social services in Laholm. Responsibilities

Case management regarding children placed outside the home under the Social Services Act or LVU. We place great emphasis on the meeting and conversation with the placed children, their parents, and foster homes/residential care homes. The position includes conducting investigations according to the Social Services Act, handling appeals, and writing statements to the police, prosecutor, and court.

We offer close supervision with continuous guidance and training so that you feel secure and can develop in this role here at Laholm Municipality.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a social worker and have experience with the social services' authority functions regarding children and young people. Education in Signs of Safety, BBIC, child interviews, and Motivational Interviewing (MI) is meritorious. You will work primarily with case management for placed children and young people and need good knowledge of current legislation in the area. Experience with authority functions in intake, investigation, and placement regarding children and young people is meritorious.

Conditions

Interviews may be held during the application period, and a probationary employment may be applied. Suspicion and criminal record checks, as well as degree certificates, will be requested.

Start date: 2026-09-01.
