The Preschool and Primary School Administration is one of Varberg Municipality's largest administrations with nearly 2,200 employees. Within our areas of operation – preschool, primary school, and child and student health – we are here for children and students – together we shape the future.

Bosgårdsskolan is now looking for an engaged employee for our flex activity for grades 2–6. Since Bosgårdsskolan is currently in an evacuation period, the physical workplace for this assignment is located at Håstensskolan.

In our flex activity, we meet students with various forms of challenges that require extra adjustments and a high degree of structure, patience, and heart.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a social pedagogue with us, you have a meaningful and relationship-oriented assignment. You work to create the best possible meeting for learning by being where the students are and supporting them in their social development and daily life at school. You work promotively and preventively to strengthen safety, study peace, and well-being, and you are a key person in developing the school's value-based work.

You collaborate closely with teachers, student health services, and other staff to create an environment where every student feels joy and safety.

Examples of tasks:

• Work actively with students in their school day to promote inclusion and good relationships.
• Support students with NPF (Neurodevelopmental Disorders) or other needs for extra adjustments so that they have a functioning school attendance.
• Be responsible for creating safe meeting places, for example through the school's café activity, where student participation is central.
• Work with motivational measures for students with high school absenteeism.
• Be a link between the student, guardian, and school in social matters.

QUALIFICATIONS

As a social pedagogue, you are a secure and clear adult role model with a genuine commitment to the well-being of young people. You have a good ability to build trusting relationships and maintain your calm and warm demeanor even in challenging situations. For you, collaboration without hierarchy is a matter of course; you share your competence and link arms with colleagues to find solutions that work for the individual student.

You have a good didactic feel for social interaction and can adapt your approach based on the students' different needs, strengths, and daily condition. Since the role is based on trust and close cooperation, we place great emphasis on personal suitability.

To thrive and succeed in the assignment, you have:

• A social pedagogical degree from a university, university college, or folk high school that the employer deems relevant for the assignment.
• Experience working with children and young people in a school environment.
• Good knowledge of NPF and experience working with low-affective handling (LAB) or similar methods.
• Clear planning ability to structure your work and systematically follow up on social interventions.
• Good collaboration skills and a warm, relationship-building attitude.

Salary form: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: Start date: 2026-08-10. Start date according to agreement, end date: 2026-12-18.
