Essensa Outpatient Care is hiring a Skills Trainer

Essensa Outpatient Care is expanding its treatment team and is now looking for a skills trainer with the competence to work with children and adolescents in need of structured support, behavioral training, and daily living skills.

We work based on evidence-based methods with a focus on safety, clarity, and development.

Job Responsibilities

As a skills trainer, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting individual and practical skills training sessions with children/adolescents
• Supporting children/adolescents in daily structure, routines, and independence
• Working with manual-based components such as DBT skills, TMO, TBA, or AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication)
• Conducting assessments, follow-ups, and documentation
• Collaborating closely with parents, foster homes, schools, and social services
• Supporting adolescents in developing impulse control, emotion regulation, and social skills

Qualifications (Requirements)

• Post-secondary education in social work, pedagogy, psychology, or similar
• Further training in DBT skills, AAC, Neurodevelopmental Disorders (NPF), low-arousal approach, TMO, or equivalent
• Experience working with children/adolescents with neurodevelopmental disorders, trauma, or psychosocial issues
• Ability to work in a structured, relationship-building, and methodologically faithful manner
• Experience with documentation

Merits

• Experience from foster care, residential care (HVB), outpatient care, LSS (Support and Service Act), or Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP)
• Knowledge in behavioral training, motivational work, and low-arousal approach
• Valid driver's license (Category B)

About the Position

• Hourly employment or part-time (20–40%)
• Flexible working hours, both daytime and afternoon/evening as needed
• Location: Kasam Outpatient Care / Kasam Family
• Start date: According to agreement
