We are currently on an exciting journey of change as we adapt our organization to the new Social Services Act. As part of this, we have consolidated our operations under a new name: The Department of Social Work. Within the Children's area, we work purposefully towards a more accessible, coordinated, and needs-adapted social services.

We are currently looking for acting social secretaries, and there is a very nice reason for this: There is a small baby boom on our unit. Several of our fantastic colleagues are expecting additions, and we are both proud and happy to accompany them into the next chapter – while at the same time we need secure, engaged substitutes who want to take over during their parental leave.

Job Responsibilities

As a social secretary, you have a central task: to follow up on and support children and young people placed in foster homes. You become an important source of security in their daily lives and work closely with both the child, the foster family, and the biological parents.

Your work involves, among other things:

• Creating and maintaining good relationships with the child and their network.
• Ensuring that the child's needs are met throughout the placement.
• Collaborating closely with our foster home secretaries to keep the process around each child cohesive.
• Contributing to participation, continuity, and respectful cooperation between all parties.

The unit also has a School Family Team (Skolfam-team), which makes cooperation regarding school matters both efficient and close.

The work is based on the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Law on Care of Young Persons (LVU), and we work according to the BBIC model. We strive for social work based on knowledge, a holistic view, and long-term perspective, where the best interests of the child are always at the center.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• Have a degree in Social Work (Social Work degree).
• Have experience in authority enforcement within social work (meritorious).
• Have good knowledge of relevant legislation.
• Are secure, structured, and have an easy time collaborating.
• Contribute with engagement, curiosity, creativity, and preferably a bit of humor.

A B-class driver's license is required.

Employment Terms

• Type of employment: Fixed-term employment.
• Duration: Start date 2026-10-15 or according to agreement.
• End date: 2027-10-10.

Grades and certificates relevant to the position must be attached to the application.
