What you will work with

Do you want to work with early interventions for children, young people, and their families? With us, you have the opportunity to make a difference where it matters most.

As a social worker/counselor, you provide advice, support, and treatment to children and young people with mild to moderate mental health issues. You meet with children, adolescents, and parents both individually and in groups, both in person and digitally. The work includes, among other things, anxiety, depression, stress, psychosomatic complaints, and relationship difficulties.

You conduct assessment interviews, offer treatment interventions and parental support, and lead group therapies. An important part of the role is to identify the right intervention at the right time together with the family. You work independently while maintaining close collaboration with colleagues in our cross-professional team.

Collaboration is a natural part of the work. We cooperate with schools, social services, and other organizations for children and young people to create the best possible support for the child.

About the workplace

Young People's Mental Health was established in 2021 and is a developing operation with a clear mandate: to provide children and young people with mild to moderate mental health issues with quick access to the right support at the appropriate level of care.

We meet children and young people from preschool age up to 17 years and work from a holistic perspective where the child's daily life, family, and network are important parts of the treatment. Through early and targeted interventions, we can often make a significant difference for both the child and the family.

At the clinic, psychologists, social workers/counselors, nurses, doctors, and administrative assistants work in close collaboration. We value knowledge exchange between professions and see teamwork as one of our greatest strengths.

Here, you will meet dedicated colleagues, an open working climate, and an operation that encourages participation, development, and new ideas. We believe that good care is created by employees who thrive, develop, and feel involved in the operation's development.

We are looking for

We are looking for you who are educated as a social worker and who have a genuine interest in children, young people, and their mental health. Experience in support and treatment work with children, adolescents, and families is meritorious, as is basic psychiatric competence in CBT (step-1). Registration as a healthcare counselor is meritorious.

You have a good ability to build trusting relationships and feel confident in meeting people in different life situations.

Swedish language skills corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe scale are required.

To thrive in the role, you should have a good ability to structure, plan, and focus on your work independently. You have a strong interest in working with children, young people, and their families. You are calm as a person and have a good ability to listen and communicate, and are also good at putting yourself in someone else's perspective or situation. You enjoy giving advice, understand how others process information, and have the ability to assess whether further contact is needed. We appreciate if you have a forward-thinking approach to work-related matters. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

We offer you

As a social worker/counselor at the clinic, you contribute to strengthening the mental health of children and young people and providing support to parents. You will work in a team that supports each other and has a high ceiling. We are positive towards competence development and further training. For us, it is important that you thrive and develop in your work. Read more about the benefits we can offer you as an employee here.

We warmly welcome your application!
