The Social Services Administration is responsible for providing support, care, and assistance to people at different stages of life. We work based on the individual's needs and offer interventions based on several laws, including the Social Services Act (SoL), the Act on Support and Service for Certain Persons with Functional Disabilities (LSS), and the Health and Medical Services Act.

This can involve giving older people a secure and meaningful daily life, supporting people with disabilities, or being there for children, young people, and adults in vulnerable life situations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to work close to people and make a difference in their daily lives? As a support assistant, you will help create security, participation, and development for people with functional variations or mental health issues. We are looking for you who thrive in a varied daily life, where treatment, structure, and engagement are central.

As a support assistant, you work to provide pedagogical, social, and practical support to people with functional variations in their daily lives. The goal is to strengthen the individual's independence, quality of life, and participation in society.

The role includes among other things:

• Supporting the individual in daily life based on the implementation plan
• Motivating and creating structure around activities, health, and social interaction
• Collaborating with relatives, colleagues, and other actors
• Documenting interventions in digital systems according to current routines
• Working from a low-affective approach with the individual's needs in focus
• Together with the team, be responsible for care, leisure activities, and a secure daily life for the young people

You can work within both functional support (according to LSS) and social psychiatry (according to SoL), in operations such as group homes, service apartments, or supported housing. In all operations, the purpose is to promote independence, health, and participation based on the individual's needs.

An extract from the criminal record for work with children is required to obtain the employment.

The work is scheduled during daytime, evenings, and weekends, depending on the operation's needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who apply have a genuine interest in working with people and a good ability to create trust and build relationships. You are secure, sensitive, and have the ability to adapt your approach to different individuals' needs and conditions.

We also see that you have:

• Upper secondary education in care and nursing or child and youth care, or alternatively other education that the employer considers equivalent, such as a 2-year folk high school education as a support assistant at upper secondary level.
• Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing

A B-class driver's license may be required depending on the operation.
