About Ågrenska

Ågrenska is a unique, developmental meeting place and a national competence center. We operate various activities from a holistic perspective for children, young people, and adults with disabilities, their relatives, and professionals. Ågrenska is owned by the Ågrenska Foundation, which is a non-profit organization. As an assistant at Ågrenska, you are covered by a collective agreement, are entitled to compensation for wellness activities, and receive continuous training in your role as a personal assistant. Who will you work with?

I am the person seeking an assistant. I am a 31-year-old woman with Angelman syndrome (read more on Ågrenska's website: https://www.agrenska.se/global... (https://www.agrenska.se/global)).

I live in Varberg with my parents, but I manage myself with the help of my personal assistants. As a family, we live ecologically and in harmony with nature.

I am a happy and active girl who loves coming up with many different things to do! My personal assistants are with me around the clock, as I need help with everything in daily life, such as care, meals, mobility, activities, and communication. I have a good memory, understand spoken language and sign language, and am very decisive.

I am very social and thrive with life and movement around me. I am almost always happy and believe life should be filled with play, mischief, and laughter. I like being outdoors, going to town for coffee, attending concerts, swimming, or just staying home and watching a movie. During the week, I am at my day activity program or other regular activities. On weekends, I try to go out and do fun things, and in the summer, I am especially active with various activities.

Scope of the position

We are looking for you who want to work as a temporary employee and cover absences. The working hours for this position include days, evenings, nights (on-call), weekdays, and weekends.

Who are you applying as?

This is a job that suits you well if you enjoy a varied and fast-paced assistant role. You should preferably have experience in similar work, but the most important thing is that the personal chemistry is right. You should be happy and positive, secure and empathetic, pedagogical, and still have that inner child!
