We are now looking for you who want to work at our camps this autumn and provide children and young people with a fun stay together with their friends.
The Role of Camp Leader
The purpose of our camp activities is to enrich the lives of children and young people, as well as to relieve parents and relatives. At our camps, children and young people with similar disabilities can experience a positive change of scenery, meet others, socialize, and try out new activities.
Your role as a camp leader is to guide the young participants in their activities and support social interaction within the group. The work takes place on weekends, is intensive but also highly rewarding. Each camp has a planned schedule of activities tailored to the participants' needs and interests.
Your Profile
You have the ability to meet children and young people based on their individual needs and circumstances. You are a calm, responsible person who is clear and sets boundaries respectfully. You are engaged, motivated, creative, and work well in teams. At Kungsbacka Municipality, we work according to a low-affective approach (calm, non-confrontational support). You must express yourself clearly in both spoken and written Swedish, as this is required for daily tasks. Personal suitability will be given great weight.
You should meet the following requirements:
- Relevant education within nursing care, child and youth activities, or other pedagogical training
- Experience and knowledge of working with people with disabilities
- Valid category B driver's license

About Us
The Department of Individual & Family Care at Kungsbacka Municipality organizes short-term stays on weekdays, weekends, and during summer for children and young people with neuropsychiatric disabilities, such as ADHD or high-functioning autism.

Our Offer and Additional Information
We offer a fixed-term position during autumn 2026 (weeks 33–50) with the possibility of extension into spring 2027.
Working hours: 24-hour shifts from Friday 16:00 to Saturday 16:00 (including on-call duties), or alternatively Saturday 15:00 to Sunday 15:00. The camp operates from Friday to Sunday.
NOTE: A police certificate (background check) will be required upon employment. You can order one here: Police Certificate for Children with Disabilities | Swedish Police Authority (https://polisen.se).
Background checks may also be conducted before employment begins.
