Daily activities in Halmstad Municipality support individuals with different prerequisites to develop independence, participation, and meaningful engagement. We are now looking for employees for four different directions within the operation.
Direction 1: Work and engagement at external workplaces with a focus on independence, participation, and social networks.
Direction 2: Support and guidance of participants in a business group at an external workplace, with a focus on development, participation, and independence.
Direction 3: Work within agricultural and dog operations where participants are supported in practical tasks and learning.
Direction 4: Individualized support for participants with extensive support needs, with a focus on participation, communication, and development.
Your Responsibilities
As a support pedagogue, you work to support and coach participants in daily activities towards independence, participation, and meaningful engagement based on individual needs and prerequisites. In a supervisory role, you contribute with pedagogical support in everyday life by creating structure, guiding participants, and adapting working methods to the target group's needs. The work takes place in close collaboration with colleagues, coordinating functions, and external actors. The assignment includes working based on pedagogical methods, documenting according to current guidelines, and motivating and supporting participants with a low-affective and individualized approach. We are looking for someone who thrives in a developing operation and wants to shape working methods and processes together with colleagues. The role requires flexibility, initiative, and the ability to work in change, while contributing to an operation that makes a concrete difference for people every day.
Your Qualifications
For the position of support pedagogue, a post-secondary education of at least 200 YH credits or 60 university credits in fields such as pedagogy, disability studies, behavioral science, or other relevant areas is required. Education within the disability field is meritorious.
For the position, knowledge of low-affective interaction, clear pedagogy, and social documentation is required, as well as good knowledge of the Office package. A B driver's license is a requirement.
It is meritorious if you have experience with methods and working approaches such as MI, SE, IPS, IBIC, BIP/CREATE, LifeCare, or Yrkesresan, as well as work with people with disabilities.

The extract is called "Extract for work with children with disabilities" and is a requirement within the Education and Employment Administration. The extract is free to order, but the processing time at the Police can be up to 2–3 weeks. We therefore recommend that you order the extract well in time before a possible interview.
In the recruitment process, we may use work psychological tests as part of the selection work.
We also use digital reference checking as part of the recruitment process. This means that as a candidate, you may be asked to provide references digitally at a later stage of the process.
If the position has requirements for education or certification, you as a candidate must be able to show transcripts, degree, or other certificates that prove education or eligibility.
Before employment, you need to show that you have the right to work, which is required according to the Aliens Ordinance. You do this by proving your citizenship in the EU/EEA or Switzerland through a passport, national ID card, or personal certificate together with an identity document. If you cannot do this, you need to show a work permit or prove that you are exempt from the requirement for a work permit.
