About the Social Services Department
The Social Services Department is responsible for providing support, care, and assistance to people at different stages of life. We work based on individual needs and offer interventions grounded in several laws, including the Social Services Act (SoL), the Support and Service Act for Persons with Functional Impairments (LSS), and the Health and Medical Services Act.

Responsibilities
As a Social Secretary specializing in Financial Assistance, you will play a central role in supporting individuals and families in vulnerable situations. You will work closely with people who need help while contributing to a legally secure and sustainable social services system.
You will be responsible for administrative decision-making and ensuring that individuals receive the right support based on their needs. Key responsibilities include:
- Investigating and assessing needs according to the Social Services Act, and making decisions on interventions.
- Following up on approved interventions to ensure they meet the individual’s needs.
- Documenting cases in accordance with current legislation and regulations.
- Collaborating with other actors such as the Employment Unit, Swedish Public Employment Service, Swedish Social Insurance Agency, healthcare providers, and police to provide coordinated support.
- Providing advice, support, and guidance to clients and their relatives.
- Working preventively and identifying needs for early interventions.
- Contributing to development and quality assurance within the unit.
Requirements & Qualifications
The ideal candidate has solid knowledge of relevant legislation. The role requires you to be structured, empathetic, and capable of making decisions in complex situations.
Requirements:
- Degree in Social Work or another behavioral science degree at university level deemed equivalent by the employer (social law is mandatory).
- Proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
Meritorious:
- Experience with financial assistance or administrative decision-making within social services.

Employment Terms & Start Date
- Salary: Monthly salary.
- Type of employment: Permanent position.
- Start date: According to agreement, earliest 2026-09-01.
