Do you want to work with one of social services' most important and urgent tasks?
As a social secretary specializing in domestic violence, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference for people in vulnerable life situations. Through your work, you contribute to creating safety, protection, and change for both adults and children affected by violence, while working to break destructive patterns and promote long-term sustainable solutions.
Your responsibilities
You will become one of two social secretaries with a special focus on domestic violence. The role is varied and combines official authority duties, support measures, and collaboration with various actors.
Your duties include, among other things:
- Processing applications for protection and support in accordance with current legislation.
- Providing support to adults and children exposed to violence.
- Working with support measures directed at perpetrators of violence.
- Assessing the need for protection and arranging protective measures for those who need them.
- Collaborating closely with social secretaries at the Reception Unit and the Investigation Unit.
- Coordinating measures together with internal and external partners, such as the police, healthcare, social services in other municipalities, and other relevant actors.
The work is characterized by both planned and acute interventions, meaning no two days are alike. You work independently in your cases while being an important part of a team where collaboration and knowledge sharing are central.
Your qualifications
We are looking for you who have a degree in social work, and a valid driver's license (Category B) is required as you drive in the service.
It is meritorious if you have:
- Experience with official authority duties within social services.
- Experience working with domestic violence.
- Good knowledge of legislation concerning both children and adults.
To thrive and succeed in the role, you need to have a strong commitment to people in vulnerable situations and be motivated by contributing to change and increased safety.
You are skilled at networking and build trusting relationships both internally and externally. In your work, you collaborate with many different actors, and you see the value in creating and maintaining contact surfaces that contribute to good results for the individual.
Through transparent communication, you convey information in a clear, open, and respectful manner. You adapt your communication to the recipient and the situation, which helps you create understanding, involvement, and trust in meetings with users, colleagues, and partners.
The work also requires flexibility. You can reprioritize when conditions change and adapt your working methods based on the needs of the operation and the individual. You maintain focus on the task even when the day takes a different direction than planned.
As a person, you are also stress-resistant and can make well-founded decisions in situations that are sometimes complex and time-pressured. You keep your cool, work systematically, and continue to maintain good quality in your work even when the workload is high.
We offer you
With us, you will have a meaningful and socially important job where you contribute every day to improving people's life situations.
