The Social Services Department is responsible for providing support, care, and assistance to people at different stages of life. We work based on the individual's needs and offer interventions grounded in several laws, including the Social Services Act (SoL), the Act on Support and Service for Certain Persons with Disabilities (LSS), and the Health and Medical Services Act.

This may involve providing older people with a secure and meaningful daily life, supporting individuals with disabilities, or being there for children, young people, and adults in vulnerable life situations.

Job Responsibilities

Do you want to work closely with people and make a difference in their daily lives? As a Support Assistant, you will help create security, participation, and development for individuals with functional variations or mental health issues. We are looking for you who thrive in a varied daily life where interaction, structure, and engagement are central.

As a Support Assistant, you work to provide pedagogical, social, and practical support to individuals with functional variations in their daily lives. The goal is to strengthen the individual's independence, quality of life, and participation in society.

The role includes among other things:

• Supporting the individual in daily life based on the implementation plan
• Motivating and creating structure around activities, health, and social interaction
• Collaborating with relatives, colleagues, and other actors
• Documenting interventions in digital systems according to current routines
• Working from a low-affective approach with the individual's needs in focus

You can work within both disability support (according to LSS) and social psychiatry (according to SoL), in operations such as group homes, service apartments, or supported housing. In all operations, the purpose is to promote independence, health, and participation based on the individual's needs. The work is scheduled during daytime, evenings, and weekends, depending on the needs of the operation.

Qualifications

You who apply have a genuine interest in working with people and a good ability to build trust and relationships. You are secure, sensitive, and have the ability to adapt your interaction to the needs and conditions of different individuals.

We also see that you have:

• A high school education in care and nursing or child and youth activities, or alternatively another education that the employer considers equivalent, such as a 2-year folk high school education as a support assistant at the high school level.
• Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing

A B-driver's license may be required depending on the operation.
