The Preschool and Primary School Administration is one of Varberg Municipality's largest departments, with nearly 2,200 employees. Within our areas of operation—preschool, primary school, and child and student health—we are here for children and students. Together, we shape the future.

Stenens Preschool is located in Tvååker, approximately 13 kilometers southeast of Varberg. Here, there are four units and space for 160 children. The preschool is close to beautiful natural areas and several playgrounds.

Job Description

You will work as a pool substitute (Appendix D) at Stenens Preschool. This means you will work and be scheduled at the unit that needs staff for the day. You will work under a staff pool agreement (Appendix D) with a reporting time of 30 minutes. The work may vary between different units during a work week.

As a preschool teacher/assistant here, you are one of the children's most important adults. You ensure that their day at the preschool is fun, safe, and educational. We offer a work environment where your competence and commitment are valued.

Main Responsibilities:

• Create a safe and inspiring daily life where every child is met with competence and warmth, and where you actively contribute to an environment where everyone feels included.
• Help children who need a little extra support. You find ways that work for each individual and work closely with your colleagues so that all children thrive.
• Participate in the implementation of pedagogical work and use pedagogical documentation to follow the children's learning processes.
• Build trusting relationships with the children's guardians, where you together create the best conditions for the child's development and needs in the preschool.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are sensitive to the children's needs and have a natural ability to create security, where an inclusive approach is a matter of course so that everyone feels at home in the group.

You have good cooperation skills and enjoy contributing to a positive work team. Since the daily life at the preschool is changeable, you are solution-focused and meet small and large challenges with a positive attitude and a calm confidence. Working in a substitute pool requires that you are a flexible person who enjoys changing work environments and can adapt quickly.

Since you will work in different teams, we consider it natural that you work well with others and are receptive to others' suggestions and opinions.

You have:

• A secondary education, such as the Child and Youth Sector program, or equivalent as assessed by the employer.

Meritorious:

• Experience with children in need of special support.

Employment Terms

• Salary: Monthly salary.
• Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
• Duration: 3–6 months.
• Start date: 2026-08-10 (or as agreed).
• End date: 2027-01-10.
