The role of the upper secondary teacher with us

As an activation pedagogue on the Individual Programme at the Adapted Upper Secondary School, you work with students who need clear and individually tailored support in their learning. You implement and follow up on the student's learning based on each student's prerequisites, needs, and goals, with a focus on developing knowledge, independence, and the ability to handle daily life and future working life. You work in the school team and follow the school's annual calendar.

The position involves working in teams and class groups. Your responsibility towards the students is based on the teacher's setup and planning of what knowledge the students are to acquire. On the Individual Programme, students study subject areas such as Individual and Society, Nature and Environment, Language and Communication, Physical Education and Health, Home Economics, and Aesthetic Subjects. You will work based on the curriculum for the Individual Programme at the Adapted Upper Secondary School.

You are flexible and have a good ability to adapt. You are creative and use Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). Teaching is conducted in various environments, such as outdoor areas, classrooms, and the local area. You will be part of a team with several activation pedagogues, where you work both collegially and independently. In the role of activation pedagogue, you are flexible and adaptable as the students' need for support varies. Therefore, it is important that you have good collaboration skills and enjoy being part of a team working towards the same goal, where student development is the focus.

Your profile

The right person for this job thrives in a business with constantly changing circumstances and sees opportunities in change. You are interested in creating, maintaining, and nurturing good relationships with both colleagues and with students and guardians. You have a good ability to communicate with and lead young people. Together with your colleagues, you plan and organize your work effectively. You express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, as this is required in daily work. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

We are looking for someone who:

• is educated as an activation pedagogue

It is meritorious if you have:

• experience working in an adapted school form at the upper secondary level
• experience working in the adapted school form and have good competence regarding the target group
• experience with software such as Widgit Go, Inprint, and can handle QR codes with pre-recorded material (which is part of our working methods that make a difference in communication with our target group)

Our offer and other information

We offer a permanent employment (on-call position) on a full-time basis starting August 10th or as agreed.
