We are looking for a project worker for the project (SIA) Social Innovation to Work in Falkenberg

Studieförbundet Vuxenskolan drives the three-year ESF project Social Innovation to Work, Halland (SIA) in collaboration with the Folkbildningsrådet (Council for Adult Education). The project is aimed at people who are far from the labor market and offers support for development, finding motivation, and taking steps towards studies, work, and self-sufficiency.

We are now looking for a project worker for our operations in Falkenberg.

About the position

As a project worker, you will work closely with participants who are far from the labor market, with a particular focus on foreign-born individuals. The role involves tasks equivalent to that of a circle leader and supervisor, where you plan, lead, and follow up on interventions both individually and in groups.

Your work will play an important role in supporting participants to:

• increase their motivation and confidence in their own ability to approach studies or work
• receive an individual plan through mapping, targeted interventions, and guidance
• participate in supplementary adult education activities within the study union's regular operations
• take the next step forward to, for example, folk high school, Komvux (adult education), university college, employers, or other relevant actors

The role includes teaching and leading activities within areas such as:

• Swedish and vocational Swedish
• Digital competence
• Social studies/civic information
• Labor market issues
• Administration (work may occur)

You will also contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and motivating environment where participants have the opportunity to develop their linguistic, social, and practical skills.

About the project

SIA – Social Innovation to Work offers people who are far from the labor market a chance to develop, find motivation, and take new steps towards studies, work, and self-sufficiency. Through the strength of adult education, pedagogical methods, and personal treatment, each participant receives support tailored to their individual needs.

The project aims to reduce long-term unemployment, increase social inclusion, and create more equal opportunities for employment.

We are looking for you who

• have experience working with the target group of foreign-born and unemployed individuals
• have experience leading group meetings with varying levels of adaptation
• can work with mapping, individual plans, guidance, and motivational support
• can teach Swedish, digital competence, social studies, and labor market issues
• have very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• are secure, sensitive, and good at meeting people where they are
• can work independently and structured, while also collaborating well with others

It is meritorious if you

• have a broad network with companies and employers
• have experience in adult education, supervision, or labor market initiatives
• have good knowledge of educational pathways and other actors such as folk high schools, Komvux, university colleges, and labor market initiatives
• have good local knowledge of the labor market in Falkenberg/Halland

Scope: 50%
