Student Assistant – Varbergs Enskilda Gymnasieskola

We are looking for you who enjoy working with young people and want to help create a safe, positive, and developmental school environment. You are a person who sees opportunities, is sensitive to others' needs, and has a genuine interest in supporting students in their learning and personal development. The support includes assistance with moving between different teaching environments as well as practical support during lessons and other school activities.

It is important that you are patient, responsible, and flexible. You need to be able to adapt your support based on different situations and help the student feel included both in the teaching and in the social context of the school.

Qualifications

• Completed upper secondary education (high school diploma).
• Experience working with children or young people is an advantage.
• Good ability to communicate in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to collaborate with students, guardians, and school staff.
• A positive and solution-oriented approach.

Meritorious Qualifications

• Experience working in schools or other educational activities.
• Knowledge of different ways to support young people's learning and development.
• Experience in creating inclusive and accessible learning environments.
• Knowledge of alternative communication methods and individualized support.

Personal Traits

You are secure, empathetic, and have an easy time building good relationships. You see each student's strengths and opportunities and work to create conditions for the student to succeed in reaching their goals, develop, and feel included in the school community.

Start Date and Employment Type

• The position is a fixed-term employment for the entire school year 2026–2027, with a start date of August 17, 2026, or as agreed.
• Part-time: 80%.
