Your responsibilities

We are looking for substitute teachers with subject-specific qualifications in Home and Consumer Studies. The position includes mentorship duties, and you are expected to collaborate closely with other teachers.

As a teacher at Klaraskolan, it is important that you are a secure and clear leader. You possess good pedagogical skills and are adept at adapting teaching to the students' needs. Your teaching is based on a relational perspective, utilizing collaborative structures for student-active learning and adopting a formative approach. You have high expectations of your students and can motivate them towards learning and development by clarifying goals and knowledge requirements. In your pedagogical role, it is crucial that you meet all students with a positive attitude, promote their participation and influence, and demonstrate flexibility and creativity. You also recognize the value of building relationships with students outside the classroom.

You collaborate easily and view the work team as an asset. Together with the team, you plan, implement, evaluate, and develop teaching based on the school's governing documents and local development plans. As a teacher, you must have a strong ability to analyze students' needs and use methodology well-adapted to both the individual student and the group. You are confident in documenting students' knowledge development and have good knowledge of our digital platforms (Unikum, Teams, etc.). You have an unpretentious approach where you enjoy challenging others in a curious manner and sharing your experiences.

The position is a fixed-term appointment for the academic year 2026/2027, with a possibility of extension.

Your qualifications

Legitimized teacher with subject-specific qualifications in Home and Consumer Studies. Previous experience working in lower secondary school (grades 7-9) is an advantage.

The school's lead teachers, together with the student health team and principals, lead the teachers' learning. In many ways, this is about us developing and collaborating so that everyone's competencies come into their own. We face challenges together and learn along the way. Furthermore, collaboration with guardians and other authorities is key to success. We care about a holistic view of the student and collaborate with SSPF (School, Social Services, Police, and Leisure), and we have a crime prevention council at the school where we regularly meet field workers and police for preventive purposes.

You do this by proving your citizenship in the EU/EEA or Switzerland via passport, national ID card, or population registration certificate together with an identity document. If you cannot do this, you must present a work permit or prove that you are exempt from the requirement for a work permit.

If offered employment within the Children and Youth Administration, you are required to present a certificate of no objections from the Police's criminal record register for work in schools/preschools. The certificate is free of charge and takes approximately 2–3 weeks for the police to process. Therefore, please order it in good time!

The position is filled on the condition that it is not taken by surplus personnel.
