Laholm Municipality has chosen to focus on early preventive work, and within the social services, there is therefore a Youth Team consisting of four full-time positions that work proactively towards young people throughout the municipality. The Youth Team's primary target group is young people aged 10–18, but other ages may also be included in various assignments. The Youth Team works both proactively, preventively, and health-promotingly. For example, the team is active in year 5 in all of the municipality's primary schools, where we collaborate with schools and student health services regarding substance abuse and mental ill-health. The Youth Team is part of the Social Services' outpatient care for families with children aged 0–21. To meet the needs of young people, the work includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.

The Youth Team represents the Social Services externally and is recognizable by our red jackets; therefore, we are keen to be good role models. We work closely together in the team and plan our own schedules based on needs and requests. We are careful to ensure that everyone can turn to us, whether young people, professionals, guardians, or other adults. We always act if we perceive concerns for a child or young person.

About the Position

The role involves proactive work where young people are located, such as the municipality's schools and youth centers, activities with young people, various events, and places where young people are known to gather. We are also present on social media. This includes close collaboration with schools, youth leaders, police, and other actors working with the target group, such as associations and voluntary organizations.

We conduct group activities, such as boys' and girls' groups, as well as class activities in classes that require special interventions based on their social situation. The Youth Team also serves as group leaders for MBU (The Person Behind the Uniform) and works with rePULSE individually and in whole classes. You may also have your own clients through outpatient care.

Are You the One We Are Looking For?

A university degree with a social or pedagogical focus, or another equivalent focus, is a requirement for the position.

Requirements for the position include knowledge of authority practice (public administration) and experience working with young people during the last three years.

A Category B driver's license is required for the position.

  • Group leader training

We place great emphasis on collaboration skills, working in a team, and working with other professions. You should be proactive, a good role model, have the ability to provide good treatment, and be able to adapt to those you meet. You must feel comfortable in both individual conversations and various group settings. Flexibility regarding working hours is required.

About the Employment

Number of positions: 1

Fixed-term contract for 1 year, from 2026-09-01 to 2027-08-31, or start date according to agreement.

Requirements for full-time employment as well as evening and weekend shifts.
