We are currently looking for four mother tongue teachers for Partille Municipality. As a mother tongue teacher, you teach students on-site in their mother tongue, in accordance with the goals of the curriculum. The role involves planning, conducting, assessing, grading, and following up on teaching based on Swedish school syllabi. The position may also include study guidance duties, where you work closely with the school's regular teachers to support newly arrived students who need linguistic assistance in their mother tongue.

The languages currently in demand are:

• Somali: approx. 15%
• Vietnamese: approx. 10%
• Greek and French: approx. 30%
• Ukrainian: approx. 75%

The positions are mobile, and contact with guardians and other educators at schools throughout Partille is an important part of the job. Distance or remote teaching is not an option for these positions.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a teaching degree (Swedish or from another country, validated by the Swedish Council for Higher Education) with the authorization to teach in one of the aforementioned languages. You must have good proficiency in both Swedish and the relevant mother tongue, in both speech and writing, and have experience in pedagogical work in schools. Since a large part of the work is carried out using digital tools, you must be highly skilled in handling digital communication media. You should also have good knowledge of Swedish society to be able to support newly arrived students in their new context.

Knowledge of additional languages, beyond the relevant mother tongue, can be an advantage.

As a person, you have a welcoming attitude and the ability to build good relationships and collaborate with both students and guardians. You take responsibility for your assignment in a structured and independent manner. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
