The Special Operations Forces Command (SFL) is part of the Supreme Headquarters and the Defence Staff. SFL is organized to plan and lead special operations forces missions and to manage the production of special operations forces activities. SFL conducts leadership of special operations at the military strategic, operational, and tactical command levels. Working within the Special Operations Forces is demanding, but at the same time offers great opportunities and developmental challenges.

The Technical and Maintenance Office (TVK SF) is part of the Special Operations Forces Command (SFL). TVK SF is responsible for coordinating material systems within the Swedish Armed Forces Special Operations Forces (FMSF). The focus is on maintaining existing material systems, but also on work in early stages (needs generation/material ordering), and subsequently providing support to the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) during material production.

About the Position

You will act as the owner's representative for special operations forces unique material within the material domain.

You are responsible for work within the material domain, including:

  • Receiving deliveries from FMV and developing distribution plans for material systems.
  • Collaborating with users of material systems within FMSF.
  • Developing decision support materials for FMSF material systems.
  • Maintenance planning.
  • Material system security work.
  • Decommissioning and disposal.
  • Deviation management.
  • Meetings within the material system area.
  • Advisory role in the preparation of development and procurement of material systems.

Qualifications

  • Officer or Specialist Officer degree with command support systems or technical orientation.
  • Civilian employee with equivalent competence.
  • Swedish citizenship.
  • Good knowledge and experience of technical service within the Swedish Armed Forces.
  • Good technical understanding in the areas of IT, communications, or electronic warfare.
  • Good knowledge of your own material system area.
  • Good knowledge of the FMV procurement process.
  • Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in both Swedish and English.
  • Hold at least a Category B manual driver's license.

Merits

  • Good knowledge and experience of material service within the Swedish Armed Forces or industry.
  • Basic technical understanding in one or more material areas.

As a Material System Manager at TVK, you are expected to have a high level of security and secrecy awareness. To succeed in the role, you should be meticulous, structured, and responsible with high integrity. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability, such as good cooperation skills, initiative, flexibility, stress tolerance, as well as the ability to exercise sound judgment and work independently under your own responsibility.

Start Date

Start date by agreement during late autumn 2026, with workplace in Karlsborg.

Other

You must be prepared to serve outside regular working hours, regular duty station, and regular duties.

To be offered the position at SFL, you must be approved in a selection process where we assess your personal profile and ability among other things. The position requires a passed background check.

For the position at SFL, you should meet the Swedish Armed Forces' basic physical requirements.

The employment is a permanent position.

Probationary service may apply to those not currently employed by the Swedish Armed Forces.
