About the role
We are currently looking for a Controller to join a government agency with an important societal mandate. In this role, you will work independently as an economist, which places high demands on your competence, experience, and confidence in your professional role. You will handle standard controller duties, including budgeting, follow-up, and analysis of financial results. The role also involves acting in an advisory capacity and conducting investigations and qualified economic analyses.

Key responsibilities in this position include:

• Conducting investigations, follow-ups, and analyses of operational information and financial results
• Compiling reports
• Developing forecasts and guidelines for budgeting related to operations
• Performing budgeting and budget follow-up
• Providing service support with an advisory and supportive function to management
• Working with financial systems (e.g., Unit 4 ERP, Raindance, Visma, etc.)
• Analyzing operational information and financial results

Assignment period and scope
The Controller position is a full-time consultancy assignment with a desired start date of August 10, 2026, and is expected to last approximately six (6) months. There is an opportunity for remote work up to two days per week.

Requirements for the position:

• High school diploma or equivalent education
• At least three (3) years of work experience as a controller
• Completed education in the relevant field
• Good knowledge of MS Office or equivalent
• Knowledge of analytical tools (e.g., QlikView, Insikt, and Power BI)
• Knowledge of financial systems (e.g., Unit 4 ERP, Raindance, Visma, etc.)
• Experience with government accounting
• Fluent communication skills in Swedish, both oral and written.

Qualifications that are meritorious:

• Post-secondary education in economics
