Employment Consultant focusing on leading activities

Do you want to contribute to giving people better opportunities to establish themselves on the labor market? At Haninge Municipality, you will work with interventions and methods that create real change and help individuals take the step towards work or studies. We are now looking for two engaged employment consultants who want to make a difference for individuals who are far from the labor market and support them on the path to increased independence and self-sufficiency.

About Us

The Labor Market Department is part of the Administration for Labor Market, Culture and Leisure and is responsible for the municipality's labor market interventions. Through the Labor Market Center, coordinated support is offered with a special focus on young people aged 15–21 and persons receiving social assistance.

The operations actively work to develop and implement new working methods and evidence-based methods to strengthen individuals' opportunities for work, studies, and self-sufficiency. A central part of the mission is to develop collaboration between different operations, administrations, and the business community. The interventions are designed based on the individual's needs, resources, and conditions, with the goal of creating sustainable paths to work, studies, and self-sufficiency.

Within our job seeker activities, we offer both digital and on-site activities where participants receive support in preparing for work or studies. Our approach is based on high presence in the operations, where we meet participants continuously in their daily lives. We are in a development phase where we are also adapting to upcoming activity requirements.

Your Mission

As an employment consultant, you are an active part of the daily operations at the Job Center, where a team of employment consultants works together on the activities. The role is operational and means that you work daily in our activities and have close and continuous contact with the participants.

Your tasks include:

• Planning and leading activities within job seeking and study-preparatory interventions from a pedagogical approach.
• Meeting participants with different backgrounds, experiences, and conditions, and adapting support to individual needs.
• Conducting individual and group conversations focusing on guidance, motivation, and reflection.
• Leading group activities, both digital and on-site, that promote participants' development and progression.
• Collaborating with colleagues and contributing to the operation's quality assurance and continued development.

What We Are Looking For in You

• University education in social work, behavioral science, or equivalent
• Experience working as an employment consultant or similar role
• Experience leading groups and working in teams
• Digital competence
• Good collaboration skills
• Category B driver's license
