We are now looking for an engaged and certified teacher who wants to take a holistic approach to teaching Science (NO) in grades 6–9 and Technology in grade 6. Here, you will become an important part of a close-knit team where collaboration, relationships, student drive, and accessible teaching are at the center.

Job Description

As a Science and Technology teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementing, following up on, and assessing teaching based on the Swedish National Curriculum (Lgr22). You create teaching that is clear, varied, and meaningful, giving students the opportunity to understand scientific connections, work inquisitively, and develop their problem-solving skills.

Your daily tasks include planning both individually and with colleagues, conducting teaching, monitoring students' knowledge development, and contributing to a safe and accessible learning environment. You actively work on adapting teaching to students' different prerequisites and needs, while maintaining high expectations for each student's development.

The position includes mentorship and close collaboration with the teaching team, student health services, and school leadership. You will also be an important part of the school's ongoing development work in Montessori pedagogy, international projects, and sustainability.

Your responsibilities include:

• Teaching Science (NO) in grades 6–9 and Technology in grade 6,
• Planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching based on Lgr22,
• Bringing Science and Technology to life through laboratories, practical work, problem-solving, and inquiry-based methods,
• Creating clear lesson structures and a safe learning environment,
• Adapting teaching for students in need of support and students in need of extra challenges,
• Following up, documenting, and assessing students' knowledge development,
• Using digital tools as a natural part of teaching,
• Collaborating with colleagues, guardians, student health services, and school leadership,
• Contributing to the school's joint development and collegial learning.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with the eligibility to teach Science and Technology. You are confident in your classroom leadership and have a good ability to create structure, study peace, and positive relationships with students.

It is important that you:

• Make natural sciences and technology understandable, relevant, and interesting for students,
• Have functioning strategies to meet both students in need of support and students in need of extra challenges,
• Are clear in your teaching and expectations,
• Work formatively and follow up on students' learning continuously,
• See collaboration with colleagues as a natural part of the assignment,
• Are structured in your planning, documentation, and assessment,
• Have a solution-focused and relationship-building approach,
• Are curious about developing as a pedagogue.

It is an advantage if you have experience teaching in grades 6–9, Montessori pedagogy, international projects, or work with sustainable development. Even you who graduate in summer 2026 are welcome to apply.
