Student Assistant for Student with Diabetes – Solfagra School

2 positions.

The principal area of Solfagra School includes Solfagra School and Stensäng School. At Solfagra School, we have over 500 students in grades F-6, AGR F-6, and at Stensäng School, grades F-3. Our goal is to have a school where everyone feels safe and enjoys their work, developing in an inspiring atmosphere while trusting in their own abilities. Solfagra School's temporary premises are located next to Källbrinks IP, with a sports field and nature right outside the school.

We work collegially and collaborate for the benefit of our students, have a well-established safety work, and all educators at the school are part of our student health services.

Description of Duties

We are now looking for a student assistant for one of our students with diabetes. This is a fixed-term position at 80–100% lasting until June 13, 2027. You are responsible, based on the student's individual needs, to support them in a way that ensures both the school day and after-school care time function optimally. Together with other colleagues in the work team, you contribute to creating a meaningful and developmental environment for the student. You are engaged and participate actively in planning and evaluating the work. You will have specific contact with the student's guardians. You will also be part of the work team at the intermediate school level and during the school day support other students/classes, students with neurodevelopmental disorders (NPF), and teach as needed based on teachers' planning and instructions.

Qualifications

You must have at least a upper secondary education within the nursing program, child and youth, or other education assessed as equivalent by the employer. Experience working as a student assistant and supporting a student with diabetes is meritorious. We will place great emphasis on personal qualities.

Your focus on the student is clear, and you have a positive attitude towards your work and your work team, as well as towards the entire school and unit. You collaborate with students, colleagues, and parents in a listening and smooth manner, listening, communicating, and handling conflicts constructively. You act in accordance with decisions, the curriculum, goals, policies, and guidelines. You are calm, stable, and have the ability to focus on the right things.
