Your Responsibilities

Omniglot is currently looking for a Mother Tongue Teacher in Japanese at approx. 45%, starting in week 34 of August.

As a mother tongue teacher, you will teach children and young people in your native language at various primary schools across Stockholm County. This is a traveling position, which involves a lot of commuting and therefore requires flexibility. No travel compensation is provided.

Your responsibilities include:

• Planning and conducting mother tongue lessons;
• Managing attendance and absence for your students;
• Email contact with guardians;
• Grading and assessment;
• Reporting working hours and maintaining close contact with Omniglot's central office;
• Participating in professional development together with other teaching colleagues.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who:

• Lives in the Stockholm area;
• Has Japanese as a mother tongue;
• Speaks and writes Swedish or English fluently;
• Is proficient with computers;
• Is attentive to students' needs and interests;
• Is flexible and enjoys collaborating with colleagues, guardians, and school staff.

Teaching experience is an advantage.
