Job Description

As a teaching assistant, you hold one of the school's most important roles. You work together with a student, and you jointly develop the best routines for your specific pairing. You accompany the student throughout the entire school day. During school hours, you collaborate with class teachers, and in the afternoons, you work as part of a team within the after-school care center (fritidshem). You carry out planned activities together with the student, create space for recreation and free play, and inspire these activities. You actively work on building relationships with all students and guardians at the school. In your practice, you use visual aids and digital tools as a natural part of creating conditions for learning and development. Movement is of great importance in health-promoting work. After-school activities are preferably conducted outdoors, but we also have ample indoor facilities. The school has three after-school departments: grades F-1, 2-3, and 4-6. We are close to forests and water, as well as having a large and inviting schoolyard with an associated artificial turf field. You are a team player who sees strength in collaboration. You systematically involve the student in the evaluation of carried-out activities to promote the student's influence. During the workday, you are part of a team with qualified teachers, after-school teachers, and special education teachers. It is of great importance that you believe collaboration between home and school is a crucial factor for students' learning.

Qualifications

Experience working with students with special needs, preferably with a medical background.

We are looking for someone who is structured, has strong leadership skills, and believes in relationship-building as a key process for promoting learning. Documented experience working as a teaching assistant is advantageous.
