Do you want to make a difference in students' learning? We are now looking for a study guide in Swahili who wants to support students in their knowledge development!

What does the job involve?

As a study guide, you support students in various school subjects to provide good conditions for success and to reach their knowledge goals. The work involves strengthening students' understanding of various school subjects by explaining or clarifying tasks from Swedish to Swahili. The role includes planning, implementation, and follow-up of the teaching you conduct.

You collaborate closely with the subject teacher and follow the subject teacher's planning and the current curriculum. You thus support students based on existing planning.

You are part of a pedagogical work team together with other mother tongue teachers. At our school, we work to ensure that all students reach their full potential! We also participate in networks across the county to develop teaching, with the student in focus.

The assignment concerns study guidance at a municipal primary school in Solna.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for you who have:

  • very good knowledge of Swahili
  • subject competence at primary school level
  • good knowledge of the Swedish language (at least SAS 2) as the work involves daily contact with Swedish-speaking colleagues, pedagogical documentation, and administrative work in Swedish.

Experience as a study guide is an advantage.

We are looking for you who are pedagogical and have a good understanding of how students absorb knowledge and people's different prerequisites. You communicate clearly and ensure that your message gets through. You find it easy to collaborate with others and can adapt to changed circumstances and see opportunities in changes. You make correct assessments and plan, organize, and prioritize the work in an effective way.

The position is a fixed-term appointment with an extent between 10-20%. Start date is by agreement and the position runs until June 10, 2026. If the ordered time for study guidance changes, the position may be terminated early.
