Nakterhusskolan in Vega is a relatively new school that opened in the autumn of 2020. This coming autumn, we will have approximately 520 students from preschool class to grade 6, and an engaged team of 64 employees working together to create a school where students thrive, feel safe, and have good conditions for development.

For the academic year 2026–2027, we are now looking for a homeroom teacher for grade 1. We are looking for you who want to be part of an operation where relationships, responsibility, and collaboration are important parts of everyday life, and where we help each other create structure, study peace, and a positive school environment for both students and adults.

Here, there is a strong commitment to the school's mission, but also an understanding that truly good operations are built together, step by step. As a relatively new school, we are still developing parts of our operations, which also means opportunities to contribute ideas, experiences, and perspectives.

Nakterhusskolan is centrally located in Vega, with a commuter train station within walking distance. Our facilities are modern and well-equipped, including a library, gymnasium, music room, craft rooms, and a cooking kitchen.

The Role

As a teacher in grades 1-3, you will:

• plan and conduct teaching with high expectations for all students
• build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians
• create a safe and inclusive learning environment where all students succeed
• collaborate in work teams and contribute to the school's joint development work

We are looking for you who

• have teacher certification with eligibility to teach in several subjects for younger ages (Pre-K to Grade 3)
• have a strong interest in mathematics and reading instruction
• demonstrate clear relational leadership in the classroom
• have the ability to conduct varied teaching
• thrive in collaboration and want to help develop the operations
