About the Role
Säter Culture School, a culture school for everyone, offers music, dance, and theater. The school's mandate also includes all music education in the compulsory school (grades 1-9) at our four primary schools. The staff at the culture school works closely together on all matters concerning the compulsory school. To create security and study peace, and to give all students the best possible conditions to achieve goals, we organize most classes with resource teachers.
The Culture School in Säter has a working method where you, as staff, are involved in decision-making processes regarding business development and organizational issues, which places high demands on commitment, responsibility, and participation. Since you will be working at different schools, it is required that you have good social competence and are an organized, flexible person with good structure in your work who enjoys collaborating with colleagues. Your teaching is characterized by an inclusive approach based on research and proven experience, and you continuously develop your methods and working practices.
Responsibilities
Your main responsibility is to work in class music in the compulsory school together with teaching music teachers. You will sometimes have half-classes and will then have group responsibility. You will plan together with the music teacher regarding the arrangement of teaching and collaborate on assessment and grading.
If the music teacher is absent, you will act as a substitute music teacher. If there is room, the position may also involve some teaching in the Culture School's voluntary education, depending on the applicant's competence and the organization's needs.
Qualifications
- You are trained as a music teacher or have another equivalent pedagogical education in music.
- You have experience working in the compulsory school grades 1-9.
- A B driver's license is required as you will be working at several schools.
- Good IT skills and experience working with student management systems.
Merits

- Experience leading groups/ensembles in pop and rock.
- Experience working with students with special needs and functional variations.

Employment Terms
Employment Type: Fixed-term employment (substitute) August–December. The position may potentially be extended.
