  • Has experience with TEACCH pedagogy and students with NPF (Neurodevelopmental Disorders).
  • Really enjoys working with children!
  • Has a teaching license for grades 4-6 & subject competence in Swedish, Technology, and Natural Sciences (additional subjects are meritorious)
  • Has good subject knowledge and a flexible pedagogical approach
  • Has interest, knowledge, and experience regarding the school's student group
  • Has experience creating structured, predictable, and visually clear teaching situations
  • Has experience working with visual supports and visual teaching
  • Has experience writing action plans (åtgärdsprogram)

As a teacher at Ingrid School, you will be responsible for a class of approximately 6-8 students. You will lead them in their schoolwork with the help of two student assistants working in the class. You need to be flexible and able to individualize the teaching according to the students' different prerequisites.

The mentorship at Ingrid School involves more extensive and continuous work than in many other operations, with daily contact and check-ins with guardians regarding the student's development, challenges, and need for support, as well as close cooperation with EHT (Educational and Psychological Counseling).

We are looking for an employee who has a great interest in special pedagogy, reading and mathematics learning, and experience/training within the school's student group (NPF / autism / ADHD / dyslexia / language disorder, etc.).

Great importance will be attached to personal suitability. Important qualities are that you are confident in the teacher role and are willing to take responsibility for the student's development towards the goals from a holistic perspective. We look at each student's unique strengths, situation, and needs. This requires us to be extra sensitive and flexible in our work and approach.

Information about the school

Ingrid School is a small primary and upper secondary school mainly adapted for students with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) but is open to all. The school is located in Bergshamra, Solna.

The school works based on TEACCH pedagogy where each group/class has one teacher and one to two student assistants.

Ingrid School is a workplace with good opportunities for pedagogical challenges and development with the aim of creating good learning and leisure environments for children and young people within ASD. To make this possible, staff receive continuous supervision and further education within ASD.

Ingrid School offers a school environment characterized by calmness where you get great freedom and time to work individually with each student's different prerequisites.

About the employment conditions

Substitute position with start date August 5, 2026. We always start with a fixed-term employment for one year, with our ambition to build a long-term collaboration.
