Our mission is to ensure good patient safety and quality in the care provided, as well as the correct use of public funds, through in-depth contract follow-ups. The assignment also includes preventing, detecting, and countering welfare crimes.

Your Assignment

The assignment involves working with in-depth follow-up and control to identify deviations related to patient safety, quality, irregularities, and potential welfare crimes.

You will join a team that monitors healthcare providers within Västra Götaland Region's own operations and private suppliers financed by public funds.

Your responsibilities will include, among other things:

• conducting qualified investigations of suspected irregularities
• analyzing healthcare providers' operations, contracts, and financial flows
• identifying risks and patterns related to patient safety and welfare crimes
• preparing decision support materials and reports for management
• collaborating with other functions and, if necessary, external authorities to contribute to the development of working methods

To succeed in the role, you need:

We are looking for you who have an academic education in a subject that the employer deems relevant for the position.

The requirements for the position are:

• experience in qualified investigative or analytical work
• experience in work involving control, supervision, or irregularities
• good ability to analyze complex information
• managerial experience or experience leading assignments
• good knowledge of the healthcare system
• experience working within or with contracts based on the Act on Choice System (LOV) or the Public Procurement Act (LOU)
• good computer skills and familiarity with the Office package and common web tools.

It is meritorious if you have:

• experience working against welfare crimes, economic crime, or irregularities in the public sector
• experience in data-driven analysis/follow-up
• experience collaborating with authorities.
