Who are we?

Hultdalsskolan is a school for grades 7-9 located in Åby, approximately one mile north of Norrköping. Around 370 students attend the school, divided into 14 classes. Here, learning and safety are at the forefront!

Our common rules and goals are clear and contribute to a good working environment for both students and staff. For the past couple of years, we have been a mobile-phone-free school, which has further contributed to increased safety and focus on studies.

We are just over 40 employees who together create the best conditions for our students. The teachers are divided into three work teams, one for each grade level. In addition to the teaching teams, there is a team consisting of special education teachers who, together with the student health team and attendance team, are there to support both students and educators in their daily work.

Here, you will meet colleagues who are used to discussing pedagogical issues and challenges, always with the students' best interests in focus!

Your responsibilities

As a Home and Consumer Studies teacher, you are responsible for the planning, implementation, and follow-up of teaching in the subject, in accordance with current regulatory documents. You work actively to create a safe, creative, and inclusive learning environment where students are given the opportunity to develop both their practical and theoretical skills.

The position includes mentorship of a class.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who have a teaching license with eligibility to teach Home and Consumer Studies for grades 7–9. You preferably have experience in pedagogical work and mentorship in grades 7-9.

To thrive and succeed in the role, we see that you are a secure, clear, and structured leader in the classroom and you are passionate about teaching and inspiring students in your subject. Furthermore, you are receptive and skilled at creating and developing good relationships and have good collaboration skills with both colleagues as well as students and guardians.

You are flexible and have drive, endurance, and a solution-focused approach. You are well-versed in the school's regulatory documents and have a professional approach, considering both the individual's and the organization's best interests.

You have good communication skills and can express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
